A semi-soft cheese from the Catalan Pyrenees mountains in Spain, this cheese is as elegant as its name. A coop cheese, the cheesemakers support 200 local farmers by sourcing their quality milk to create Urgelia. This cheese has earned PDO status. Technically washed-rind although it has no acute odor, the process adds more to its flavor. Small eyelet holes are present through the sunshine-yellow paste. A mellow buttery and slightly nutty flavor is finished with a mild acidity. Kid-friendly, supremely snackable, and melts well!
